Glory Awaits Ahli in Africa
Published in FilGoal on 26 - 10 - 2007

Ahli won't only win the CAF Champions League title if they beat Tunisia's Etoile Sahel, but will also add to their fortunes with some prestigious records, achievements and rewards.
The Cairo powerhouses face Etoile in Sousse in the first-leg on Saturday, before hosting the Tunisians on the ninth of November in the title decider.
*Ahli will be the first team to claim the Champions League trophy for three successive seasons, the achievement they made before during the 1980s in the Cup Winners' Cup, which no longer exists.
*The Cairo giants will qualify to the FIFA Club World Cup for an unprecedented third time in a row.
*Ahli will take part in the African Super Cup for the third consecutive time, adding another unique record to their name.
They will also have a chance of surpassing Zamalek's three Super Cup triumphs.
*Ahli will be handed one million dollar for winning Africa's premier competition as well as receiving another million for taking part in the Club World Cup.
The sum could further increase if the team win any match in the competition featuring continental champions.
*The Red Devils will hold the record for the most Champions League triumphs with six titles to go beyond arch-rivals Zamalek, who won five titles.
*Ahli will achieve their 13th continental title to extend the gap with Zamalek, the nearest challenges in the Dark Continent who won nine titles.
*The club will demonstrate their supremacy in CAF's ranking, grabbing five points which will increase their tally to 70 points, a massive 20 ahead of second-placed Zamalek.
*Ahli will achieve a world record of winning 12th successive titles on the local and continental levels in the space of two and a half years as they never missed out on a tournament during that period.
