Chelsea new manager Avram Grant insisted on Friday he is the only one who will take decisions in football-related matters. "I think if you knew me, you would know that I am my own person. I take all the decisions on football on my own and I take the blame if we lose," the Israeli told a press conference. "If we win, I am of the team of people who succeed. So I will take the decisions on my own." Grant, who was appointed after the shock departure of Jose Mourinho, was referring to speculation that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovic interferes in football matters. "I am sure this is not his (Abramovic's) ambitions, and I can tell you if he wants to pick the team, he cannot." The former Portsmouth football director said that his methods are different from that of Mourinho, but wants to follow the Portuguese's huge success at Stamford Bridge. "I am a normal person. I have my own philosophy on football. I respect everything he did at the club. I want to follow his success." "If I thought that I cannot do it, I wouldn't take the job. I took the job because I think I can handle the situation," he added.
