Mourinho's Memorable Moments in Press Room
Published in FilGoal on 20 - 09 - 2007

Jose Mourinho hasn't only changed Chelsea's status and introduced new tactics to the Premiership, but also pumped life into the boring press rooms (when Arsene Wenger or Alex Ferguson are not there) in England.
The Portuguese coach has been outspoken during his three-year time at Stamford Bridge. His vocal attitude brought him some admiration but lots of criticism from opponents.
FilGoal.com lists Mourinho's top ten quotes since joining Chelsea in 2004.
1- "We have top players and, sorry if I'm arrogant, we have a top manager.
"If I wanted to have an easy job...I would have stayed at Porto - beautiful blue chair, the UEFA Champions League trophy, God, and after God, me," Mourinho during his official introduction as Chelsea manager.
2- "Everybody was waiting for Chelsea not to win every game and one day, when we lose, there will be a holiday in the country. But we are ready for that." He feels unpopular among journalists and spectators for no reason.
3- "Look, we're not entertaining? I don't care; we win." May be that's why the Blues are not that popular.
4- "We are on top at the moment but not because of the club's financial power. We are in contention for a lot of trophies because of my hard work," Mourinho furious at those who say Chelsea's success is down to the giant ATM machine they have at Stamford Bridge.
5- "I think you have to be in love with your family, with your job, with the people who work for you.

Mourinho and Ferguson
If you are not in love with your wife you have to divorce. If you are not in love with your kids you are not a human being so you have to kill yourself, if you are not in love with your job you must change your job." This is life, according to Jose.
6- "Maybe when I turn 60 and have been managing in the same league for 20 years and have the respect of everybody I will have the power to speak to people and make them tremble a little bit," Mourinho says that Alex Ferguson uses his prestige to win advantage over him.
7- "I think he is one of these people who is a voyeur. He likes to watch other people. There are some guys who, when they are at home, have a big telescope to see what happens in other families. He speaks, speaks, speaks about Chelsea." This was Arsene Wenger's turn to be tongue-smacked by the 'Special One.'
8- "Makelele is not a football player - Makelele is a slave," Another Frenchman is hit by Mourinho's words as he criticizes Les Bleus coach Raymond Domenech for forcing the Chelsea player back into international football.
9- "If he helped me out in training we would be bottom of the league and if I had to work in his world of big business, we would be bankrupt," Mourinho trying to set red lines for club owner Roman Abramovic, who obviously didn't like the hint.
10- "There are only two ways for me to leave Chelsea. One way is in June 2010 when I finish my contract and if the club doesn't give me a new one. It is the end of my contract and I am out.
"The second way is for Chelsea to sack me. The way of the manager leaving the club by deciding to walk away, no chance! I will never do this to Chelsea supporters." Excuse me, what year are we in now?
