Germany skipper Michael Ballack missed a publicity spot for the Mannschaft on Monday after Chelsea issued him a too late permission to take part in the show. The advertising filming for Adidas, the main sponsor of Germany, was scheduled on Monday but Ballack's permission was delayed until early on the same day. "That's not how you treat a German international, especially the captain of the team who is highly respected internationally," Germany general manager Oliver Bierhoff said Monday. "It's not correct that they treat us and their partner Adidas in this way. It seems the club has other methods," Bierhoff added. The 30-year-old player preferred to get back to London to avoid any clashes with his side especially with tension rising between both sides recently. But after consultations between Chelsea and Adidas, the permission arrived early in the morning and Adidas supplied a private jet to return Ballack to Germany. However, the company gave up the idea saying they preferred to allow him continue his rehabilitation program without interruption. Ballack is reported to be on a move out of Stamford Bridge especially after being omitted from Chelsea's Champions League squad. He was quoted as saying by The Sun on Monday that he was frustrated by the lack of European action till at least January. "I am disappointed. But I have to accept it and focus on getting healthy again. Then I can make up my mind about other things," he said.
