Defending champions Real Madrid got off to a winning start in the Primera Liga after coming from behind to beat city rivals Atletico Madrid 2-1 at Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday. Atletico Madrid's Argentinean youngster Sergio Aguero needed less than a minute to stun the home crowd after being set-up by Mariano Pernia's corner. Real striker Raul grabbed the equalizer in the 15th minute when he connected with Sergio Ramos' cross to head into the back of the net. Los Merengues' newly-signed Dutch midfielder Wesley Sneijder secured the win ten minutes from time through a deflected shot.
Kanoute Elsewhere, UEFA Cup winners Sevilla came from a goal down to thrash nine-man Getafe 4-1 at home Pablo Hernandez put the visitors ahead as early as the second minute but Getafe couldn't hang on to their lead after duo Francisco Sousa and David Cortes were sent off before the break. Jesus Navas leveled the score one minute after re-start before Brazilian striker Luis Fabiano added the second seven minutes past the hour mark. In-form Frederic Kanoute notched the third three minutes later and Alexander Kerzhakov completed the rout eight minutes from time.
