Ekrami to stay on the bench

Feyenoord coach Bert van Marwijk announced that Egyptian keeper Sherif Ekrami will remain his second choice and experienced Henk Timmer will keep his place as a regular starter.
"I took my decision after watching them during trainings and friendly games," Marwijk was quoted saying on the club's official website.
Ekrami guarded Feyenoord's nets in a friendly game against Liverpool and had a convincing performance.
The 24-year-old keeper joined the Dutch Eredivisie side in 2005 and hoped he could get off the bench this season.
