Esperance French coach Jacky Dugueperoux has been sacked and will be replaced by former Etoile Sahel manager Fawzi Benzarti, Tunisian newspaper Al-Sabaah reported on Thursday. Benzarti has opted to take charge at Esperance after snubbing offers from Libyan national team and Moroccan outfit Moghreb Athletic Tetouan, the paper added. Esperance, who were drawn with African champions Ahli in the CAF Champions League group stage, were held to a goalless home draw by ASEC Mimosas of Ivory Coast in Group B opener. Meanwhile, Al-Sabaah stated that Esperance officials have opened talks with Arab Contractors to sign Nigerian striker Minusu Buba. Negotiations are at advanced stage but it is yet to be finalized due to Zamalek's intervention in the deal. Buba has been instrumental in helping Contractors secure their safety in the Egyptian League, scoring eight goals throughout the campaign.
