AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani said on Monday that Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o is their number one target this summer as the European Champions are looking for a top class marksman. "Milan's number one target for next season is, and remains, Samuel Eto'o," Galliani said. "If the economic resources are there on our part, and Barcelona say he is available, we will go fo him." The 26-year-old player is regarded as one of the best strikers in the world now that he even scored 15 goals for Barca this season despite being injured for half of the season. Eto'o have already declared that he'll remain at the Camp Nou for 99,99% next season, However he has been linked with a move away after a rift with team-mate Ronaldinho and coach Frank Rijkaard in mid-season. The Barcelona number nine is one of three major targets announced by AC Milan Chairman Silvio Berlusconi with Andriy Shevchenko from Chelsea and Ronaldinho from Barcelona. "Ronaldinho was declared 'unsellable'. We are looking for an important striker, whether it be Eto'o or Shevchenko," said Berlusconi. "Whatever happens, we are calm and we don't feel the necessity to buy at all costs. We will only consider reasonable prices and salaries. If these conditions can't be met, we will stick with the players we've got."
