Zamalek spokesman Alaa Mekled confirmed that Tunisian defender Wissem El Abdi will remain with the club after the crisis with his former club Sfaxien has been solved. "The trouble has been solved now. The player arrived today and will start trainings regularly with the team," said Mekled. Mekled confirmed that the Tunisian side's complaint is unfounded as the deal indicates that Zamalek should pay El Abdi's transfer fee on two installments; the first one immediately to loan the player and the second in May to make the move permanent and that is what was done. The crisis blew up when Sfaxien president revealed that he made an official complaint to FIFA asking to cancel the transfer as Zamalek didn't pay the second installment. He even announced that he had reached a deal with Qatari side Al-Rayyan worth $800 000 which is the double of the transfer fee agreed with the Whites.
