Zamalek striker Gamal Hamza said on Wednesday that team officials were to blame after he missed the club's training on Monday following the team's 2-0 win over Petrojet in the Egyptian League. "Zamalek's officials did not inform me that there was training on Monday, that's why I didn't attend it," Hamza told FilGoal.com. Hamza was quoted as saying by Egyptian newspapers that Zamalek's assistant coach Essam Marei told him that Monday was a rest for all the players. The 25-year-old striker left Zamalek's camp after their second successive win in the Egyptian League over Petrojet due to his exclusion from the match squad. After the incident, Hamza was reportedly preparing to fly to Greece to have a trial period with a first division side. Meanwhile, Zamalek spokesman Alaa Mekled said the financial dispute between the club and Ghanaian midfielder Awuley Quaye 'Junior' has been settled Junior threatened to terminate his contract with Zamalek if he didn't receive his due payment. The former Sfaxien player will receive $100,000 and will return back to training, Mekled added.
