Shawki Gharib expressed his satisfaction with CAF's decision to postpone Egypt's African Cup of Nations qualifier against Burundi to an unspecified date. "We are relieved that the match has been postponed because the players are very exhausted as they will have no time to rest after the season's end," the Egypt assistant coach told FilGoal.com on Wednesday. The match was due to be played in Rwandan capital Kigali on the 17th of June but Burundi officials failed in their attempts to find a suitable accommodation for Egypt's delegation. The African qualifier was switched to Rwanda because the biggest stadium in Burundi is being renovated. "CAF will set a new date that will be parallel to FIFA's international match calendar in order for us to have our European-based players available," Gharib added. Meanwhile, Gharib said he is pleased with the performance of the new faces in the 1-1 friendly draw against Kuwait. "Omar Gamal, Osama Mohamed, Mohamed Ibrahim and Shikabala have all put in fine displays. There was harmony between them and the rest of the experienced players in Egypt squad." "In these matches results don't mean much, what counts is the performance and our attacking peformance was good," he concluded. Kuwait-Egypt highlights:
