Ahli have enough incentive ahead of Cairo derby, says Al-Badri
Published in FilGoal on 19 - 05 - 2007

Ahli assistant coach Hossam Al-Badri insisted his side have the enough incentive to win Monday's Cairo derby against Zamalek despite securing the Egyptian League title and resting some key players.
"The absence of nine regulars does not mean that we will have an unserious approach to the match. On the contrary, the players who will participate will be eager to prove themselves," Al-Badri told FilGoal.com on Saturday.
Ahli's technical staff decided to rest eight players for the rest of the league campaign in order to have them fully fit for the Egyptian Cup and the CAF Champions League group stage next month.
Injured Right-back Islam Al-Shater has also joined the absentees list which includes the likes of Mohamed Abou-Treika, Mohamed Barakat, Flavio Amado and Emad Meteb.
"Al-Shater will not take part in the remaining two games against Zamalek and Ismaili but will be available for the cup action," Al-Badri added.
On the other hand, Zamalek football director Ayman Mansour has played down the significance of playing against an almost second-string line-up by Ahli.
"Ahli's substitutes are very good, they can compensate for the absence of key players."
"Zamalek-Ahli clash is very special to fans of both clubs, it will be important as usual," he added.
