Zamalek striker Abdul-Halim Ali has been ruled out of his side's Egyptian League match against bottom side Tanta on Sunday due to injury. The 33-year-old frontman did not take part in Zamalek's training session on Friday after suffering a groin pain and thus French boss Henri Michel excluded him from the squad facing Tanta. Hossam Osama is expected to start the game due to Ali's injury as well as the absence of forward Gamal Hamza, who is also injured. The list of absentees includes also Tunisian defender Wissem El-Abdi who sustained a knock against Faisali in the Arab Champions League while keeper Abdul-Wahed Al-Sayed will be out of action for up to five months due to torn cruciate ligament. Zamalek are third in the league table with 46 points and two games in hand, five behind second-placed Ismaili.
