An Egyptian court has postponed on Thursday former Zamalek president Mortada Mansour's case, in which he was charged with assault on Egyptian Chief Justice Sayed Nofal, to the 29th of March. The hearing was delayed for three hours because Mansour refused to go to court, claiming that his health condition did not allow him leave the hospital, however, he was forced to attend the trial. The court's verdict postponement means that Mansour will stay in Toura prison until a final ruling is announced. The problem started when Mansour and a number of his aides bolted into Nofal's office at the Supreme Administrative Court of the State's Council headquarters on Saturday. Nofal accused Mansour of aggravated assault against a public servant and defamation of the Egyptian judicial system. Mansour and his men were contained by security but the renowned lawyer collapsed and was taken to a nearby hospital under tight security. Mansour's attack was provoked by the court ruling that upheld the former Minster of Youth, Mamdouh Al-Beltagi, to remove him from his post as Zamalek president.
