Chelsea, United through to FA Cup semis
Published in FilGoal on 20 - 03 - 2007

Two Sublime strikes from Andriy Shevchenko and Shaun Wright-Philips earned Chelsea a 2-1 away victory over Tottenham Hotspur and a place in the FA Cup semi-final.
Chelsea will now face Blackburn Rovers in the semi-final, continuing their bid to win four titles this season.
Ukrainian striker Shevchenko, who scored against Sheffield United on Saturday, broke the deadlock 10 minutes after re-start with a superb drive.
He controlled the ball in the right-flank, ran into the area, side-stepped Steed Malbranque before cutting inside and curling an unstoppable shot into the far top corner of the net.
The English champions doubled their lead seven minutes later when Ivorian striker Didier Drogba chested the ball into the path of Wright-Philips, who fired a left-footed first-timer past Tottenham keeper Paul Robinson.
Ireland's Robbie Keane pulled one back in the 79th minute from the penalty spot after Ricardo Carvalho brought down Dimitar Berbatov inside the area.

Ronaldo notched the winner for United
Egyptian midfielder Hossam Ghaly was kept on the substitutes' bench while Ahmed Hossam 'Mido' was omitted from the squad due to injury.
Elsewhere, Manchester United reached the competition's semi-final after a second-half penalty from Cristiano Ronaldo gave them a 1-0 victory over Middlesbrough at Old Trafford.
The spot kick was vital for United to grab a victory after Australian keeper Mark Schwarzer twice denied Wayne Rooney whilst he was on one-on-one situation.
United were awarded the penalty 15 minutes from time when Middlesbrough defender Jonathan Woodgate made a rash tackle from behind on Ronaldo.
The Portuguese winger stepped-up to send the keeper the wrong way and put United ahead.
Boro midfielder James Morrison was given a straight red card moments before the final whistle following a reckless challenge on the match-winner Ronaldo as tempers flared between both sides.
United will play Watford in what looks like an easy semi-final tie.
