Al-Hilal retrieved first place in the Saudi League after beating Al-Faisali 2-0 on Sunday. Brazilian striker Rodrigo scored both goals for Al-Hilal as he converted a 7th minute penalty before sealing the victory with a close finish in the 25th minute. Al-Hilal's tally reached 41 points after the win, taking over the top spot from Al-Wehda who were beaten 2-1 by Al-Ittifaq last Thursday. Other scores from the same round included Ittihad Jeddah's 8-2 thrashing of Al-Khaleej, Al-Nassr beating Al-Qadisiya 2-1 and Ahli Jeddah edging past Al-Taie with a 3-2 win. Amir Azmi's Al-Shabab will meet Al-Hazm on Monday.
