Brazilian goalkeeper Nelson Dida has extended his contract with AC Milan until 2010, the Serie A side announced on their official website on Saturday. Dida, whose contract was due to expire at the end of the season, put pen-to-paper on a three-year deal to put an end to recent speculation linking him with a move to Barcelona. The 33-year-old custodian joined Milan from Brazilian outfit Cruzeiro in 2000. He won one Italian Serie A title, one Coppa Italia as well as UEFA Champions League triumph in 2003 at the expense of Juventus.
