Newly-promoted Olympic have sacked manager Ashraf Qasem following a string of bad results which left the team struggling in the Egyptian League table. An Olympic insider source said that Ahli youth team coach Fathi Mabrouk and Alaa Nabil are the frontrunners to lead the club until the end of the season. In case Olympic fail to lure either of them, they will promote a technical staff from the youth sector to take charge of the first team. Olympic, who lie second from bottom with 15 points, have endured a seven-match winless streak as they last won against ENPPI on the second of January. The club's 6-0 humiliating defeat against Ismaili last week proved to be the straw that broke the camel's back.
