Ittihad Alexandria returned to winning ways in the Egyptian League after Mohamed Farouk's strike led them to a 1-0 victory over Tersana on Thursday. Farouk scored what proved to be the winner in the 30th minute to help Ittihad grab their first win in nine matches. The victory put Ittihad in ninth place of the league table with 25 points, four ahead of tenth-placed Tersana. Elsewhere, Petrojet were held to a goalless home draw by struggling side Tanta. Petrojet are sixth with 28 points, on level with Arab Contractors, who face ENPPI later on Friday. Newly-promoted Tanta are still at the bottom of the table with just 12 points.
