Follow-up- Gaber Abou El-Naga: Zamalek have insisted that striker Amr Zaki will not leave the club unless a representative from the reported Premiership side comes with an offer. Earlier last week, Football management company, ‘4 Steps', sent Zamalek a fax, on behalf of the two English clubs, confirming their interest in signing Zaki during the January 2007 transfer window. Even though the fax did not name the clubs interested in signing the Egypt international striker, FilGoal.com learned that Manchester City is one of them. "Zaki did not come with an official offer from Manchester City, who were reportedly interested in acquiring the services of the player," Zamalek vice-president Hazem Fawzi told FilGoal.com on Friday. "We told the player to concentrate with Zamalek in the coming period and to forget about any European offer at least until the end of the season." Although the Cairo side agreed in principle on letting the former ENPPI striker seals his dream move to the Premiership, they demanded a direct contact with the interested club rather than negotiating with 4 Steps. The 23-year-old joined Zamalek in the off-season after spending a disappointing three-month spell with Russia's Lokomotiv Moscow.
