Former Italy coach Marcelo Lippi has admitted he is interested in taking up a managerial post in Spain. Lippi, who stepped down after leading Italy to win the World Cup, has said he has not received any job offers from his native country, but wouldn't mind moving on to La Liga. "Spain? Yes I'd like to coach there a lot," Lippi told Italian media. "I like that football a lot. "I haven't got offers from Italy, whilst a lot of offers have arrived from abroad." Lippi hinted that the Italian match-fixing scandal which broke over the summer played a role in his decision to leave the national team and seek employment elsewhere. "(Former Italian football chief) Guido Rossi had asked me to stay on," he said. "I said enough was enough, because I didn't consider all that controversy to be healthy. "I earned my place at the World Cup, so I didn't feel I should be put under pressure to give that up."
