Lippi dismisses United rumors

Italy coach Marcello Lippi denied reports that he received an offer to be the future coach of English Premiership giants Manchester United right after the World Cup.
Lippi took over the Azzurri following Italy's firs round exit in the EURO 2004 championship, and the former Juventus contract with the Italian Federation is due to expire after the World Cup.
Despite leading Italy to their first World Cup final in 12 years, Lippi earlier stated that he wouldn't extend his contract after the tournament.
But wherever his destiny will be, Lippi ruled out a move to Manchester United.
"How can you work in a place where you don't even know the language, there's absolutely no truth in it," Lippi was quoted as saying by CalcioItalia magazine on Saturday.
Italy will face France in the World Cup final in Berlin's Olympiastadion on Sunday, and Lippi said he is only focusing on the mission ahead of him.
"I am interested only in winning the World Cup right now, we'll see in a month where I am, but it certainly won't be Manchester," Lippi added.
Meanwhile, Manchester United said that the club have made no contacts with the Italy coach as they are currently content with Sir Alex Ferguson as the club manager.
"No offers or negotiations were started with Lippi, we have Alex Ferguson as or club coach and we have no intention to change that," a club spokesman said.
