The Egyptian national team received an invitation to face five-time world champions Brazil in an international friendly in February 2007, the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) said on Tuesday. "We received an invitation from Arab sports promoter that handles Brazil's matches," EFA spokesman Medhat Shalabi told FilGoal.com late on Tuesday. "They suggested France, Holland or Italy as possible venues for the game and chose February 12th as a tentative date," Shalabi said. However, the suggested date may be altered since it is not scheduled as part of FIFA's agenda for international games. "The company even offered to cover the expenses of the national team for one week in the country that will host the match," Shalabi added. Shalabi said that the EFA is set to accept the invitation since it provides a good chance for Egyptian players to play with one of the best teams in the world.
