Arab pop stars Amr Diab and Nancy Ajram will feature in a concert to celebrate Egypt's fifth African Cup of Nations title on Thursday, the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) said. Diab and Ajram lead a number of Arab artists who will come together in honor of Egypt's national team players and coaching staff for their record achievement, EFA president Samir Zaher said on Sunday. The event will take place in the Cairo International Stadium, the same venue where Egypt beat Ivory Coast 4-2 in a penalty shootout to grab the continental title on Friday. The players will take a victory lap around the stadium to share the accomplishment with their fans, Zaher said. On the other hand, the EFA has received a number of offers to play international friendlies next month, but decisions regarding the issue have been postponed. The Egyptian team also received an invitation from top Saudi sports official Prince Fahd Bin Abdul-Aziz to visit Makkah and perform “Umrah”.
