Tottenham Hotspur grabbed their first Premiership victory of the season after beating Sheffield United 2-0 on Tuesday. Dimitar Berbatov broke the deadlock from close range in the seventh minute when he volleyed home a low cross from Aaron Lennon. The Bulgarian striker turned provider ten minutes later when he released English international midfielder Jermaine Jenas to double the lead. Jenas controlled the ball inside the area before sidestepping the goalkeeper and tapping home. Egyptian midfielder Hossam Ghaly was left out of this game's squad. Elsewhere, West Ham United were held to a 1-1 draw by newly-promoted side Watford. Marlon King put Watford ahead in the 63rd minute but Bobby Zamora equalized one minute later. The victory put West Ham temporarily at the top of the table with four points while Watford grabbed their first point of the season.
