Zamalek board of directors said they contacted Egyptian security forces to obstruct any attempt of holding a press conference inside the club's residence by former president Mortada Mansour. "Mansour doesn't have the right of holding a press conference in the club because he is just a normal member," a Zamalek board member told FilGoal.com on Tuesday. "We are afraid that some of current president Mamdouh Abbas' supporters and Mansour's men may involve in a clash if the latter holds the press conference." Egyptian Higher Council of Sport (HCS) suspended former chairman Mansour after the tribunal saga that paralleled last season's Egyptian Cup final between Ahli and Zamalek. But Mansour was expected to restore office due to a ruling by an Egyptian court. However, the HCS decided to appoint a new board for the Cairo powerhouse, headed by the club's former treasurer Abbas. Meanwhile, Mansour has insisted he will hold the press conference on Wednesday morning even if he failed to enter the club, adding that he can make it anywhere outside the club's gates. On the other hand, Zamalek midfielder Awuley Quaye 'Junior' will resume training after his financial dispute with the club has been settled. Abbas promised the Ghanaian to give him his due $250,000 on installments as well as offering him a one-year contract extension.
