UEFA have postponed their decision regarding AC Milan's entry into the Champions League until August 2nd. "As far as the position of Milan is concerned, the panel took note of a report submitted by the UEFA chief disciplinary inspector on the question whether it would be appropriate, due to the particular circumstances, to admit Milan to the 2006-07 UEFA club competitions," read a statement on the UEFA official website. "Following this report, the emergency panel has decided to further examine whether to admit Milan to the 2006-07 UEFA club competitions. "Milan and the FIGC will have the possibility to submit their observations in this respect to UEFA." Milan will now enter the Champions League third qualifying round draw on Friday on a provisional basis until UEFA make their final decision. Milan were initially thrown out of the UCL after an Italian court deducted 44 points from their account last season for their part in the match-fixing scandal that rocked Italian football. However, after their appeal, a new ruling gave the Rossoneri the green light to participate in the UCL third qualifying round.
