Robben confident ahead of Dutch campaign
Published in FilGoal on 10 - 06 - 2006

Holland winger Arjen Robben said that he is optimistic and full of confidence over his team's chances in the World Cup adding that they have one of the best Dutch sides ever.
Holland will take on Serbia and Montenegro in their first World Cup game on June 12th and despite being drawn in the so-called "group of death" alongside Argentina and Ivory Coast, Robben said he can't wait for the group games to start.
"I'm very excited, we all are excited in a good way and not at all worried, we are in the toughest group but everyone realized that long time ago and we all feel good about our chances," Robben told Fifaworldcup.com.
The Chelsea man reckons that Holland's opener against Serbia and Montenegro will be a difficult clash looking at the Serbs' excellent record in the qualifying campaign.
"They have done fantastically well and I think they are a very good team, they should be very proud of the way they performed in the qualifications," Robben said.
Robben added that the presence of Manchester United striker Ruud Van Nistelrooy is always a huge advantage for the Dutch team.
"I think Ruud is one of the best strikers in the world, this may be his first World Cup but everyone knows what he can do," the 22-year-old said.
"For me I don't think there's any other player as good as Van Nistelrooy in the box, if you ask me now who'll finish top goal scorer in the World Cup Ruud will be my choice," Robben added.
