Ivory Coast coach Henri Michel urged his players to make a positive result against Holland in the World Cup in order to stay in the tournament, BBC reported on Thursday. "The problem is simple, a defeat against Holland will send us home. I hope we didn't come to the World Cup to go back home so quickly," Michel said. Ivory Coast are looking for a win against Holland to keep their hopes of qualifying to the second round alive following their 2-1 defeat to Argentina. "This match is extremely important for us because we are not in the best position," the former France and Morocco coach said. "Everything about that is forgotten now, and we're just hoping for a positive result against Holland," he added. Michel stated the elements for success in their crucial clash against Holland, who beat Serbia and Montenegro 1-0 in their first match. "We have to be more aggressive in defence. And that's not just the defenders - it starts from up front," he said. "We need to show the willpower to win and need to eradicate the mistakes of the last game," he added. Holland are in second place of Group C on three points, the same tally of Argentina who lead on goal difference, while Ivory Coast and Serbia and Montenegro lie third and fourth respectively with no points.
