Egyptian striker Ahmed Hossam 'Mido' may not earn a permanent deal with English side Tottenham Hotspur as other teams are chasing his signature, his agent Mino Raiola said on Wednesday. "We are talking to Tottenham, we are talking to Roma and we are talking to some other clubs," Raiola was quoted as saying by Sky Sports. "Although we have not excluded Tottenham, other clubs are ahead of them now. We are standing still with Spurs and nothing is concluded," he added. The Egyptian international established himself as a key-player in coach Marin Jol's plans since his arrival from Roma on loan in January 2005. Mido played a pivotal role in his side's bid to qualify to the UEFA Champions League as he netted 11 goals in the Premiership this season. Raiola revealed that Spurs risk losing his client during the summer, as they are not serious enough to acquire his services permanently.

I am not so confident that Tottenham are willing to invest the money they need to invest to get Mido," he said. "He is not a free transfer and there are other teams, as big as and even bigger than Tottenham, who have an appetite for Mido both in England and in Europe," he added. Raiola heaped to the praise of the former Ajax and Marseille striker, stating that his style of play suits English football. "Mido has done very well at Spurs and that has attracted attention from other big clubs. He is a strong player and works very hard for the team," he said. "He's the perfect kind of striker for the English game and he is perhaps one of the players who is stronger with his head than with his feet. "Mido is very grateful to Spurs and his team-mates for the chance they have given him but a number of clubs have seen what he has done in England and have become very interested," he added.
