Defenders Ibrahim Saied and Medhat Abdul-Hadi participated in Zamalek's training session on Saturday after being granted permission by coach Manuel Cajuda. "Saied returned to training after a period of nonattendance," assistant coach Ahmed Ramzi told Filgoal.com on Saturday. "His presence had a great impact on the fans who cheered on the players throughout the session," he said. Saied had skipped Zamalek's training sessions since returning from international duty and helping Egypt to a record-fifth African title earlier this month.
Medhat Abdul-Hadi Abdul-Hadi also returned to training after nursing a slipped disc that sidelined him since September. The Egypt defender has not completely recovered from his injury and is set to miss Saturday's derby clash against Ahli. Cajuda had retracted his decision to ban Zamalek's fans from attending practice sessions ahead of Saturday's match.
