Tottenham striker Ahmed Hossam 'Mido' says Spurs decision to sign Egypt teammate Hossam Ghaly from Dutch side Feyenoord was a favorable one. "First of all I am very happy when I heard that Spurs have signed Ghaly," Mido told the club's official website on Tuesday. "Not just because he is my friend, I think we really have signed a great player with a good mentality as a professional." Tottenham landed Ghaly on a five-year contract in the winter transfer window when Mido was in Egypt for the African Cup of Nations. "I think he can do a lot for Spurs and it is a top signing. Hossam is a great lad in the middle of the park, he has a great technique, supplies good balls and is strong in the air," he said. The prolific striker, who found the net ten times in the Premiership this season, said that landing another Egyptian player will spread the club's popularity in his homeland. "People in Egypt will care even more about Spurs now we have a second Egyptian player."
