Premiership big names fought their way through to the fourth round of the FA Cup as Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool registered hard-earned victories on Saturday. In Stamford Bridge, English Champions Chelsea grabbed a late winner to down third-division side Huddersfield 2-1. Jose Mourinho's side looked on their way to a big win when Carlton Cole opened the score line in the 12th minute. Gary Taylor-Fletcher stunned the hosts with a 75th minute equalizer but Eidur Gudjohnsen secured Chelsea passage to the next round eight minutes from time when he converted a fine cross from Arjen Robben home. In Highbury, veteran winger Robert Pires scored twice to give title holders Arsenal a 2-1 triumph over Cardiff. The Frenchman broke the deadlock as early as the sixth minute when he received a neat pass from Jose Antonio Reyes down the right before burying a low dink home. In the 18th minute, Pires put Arsenal two up with an ice-cool finish after being set-up by Dennis Bergkamp.

In Luton Town, Liverpool produced a magnificent come-back against second-division club Luton and secured a dramatic 5-3 victory. Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard put the European champions in front after 16 minutes. But the home side replied with three successive goals courtesy to efforts from Steve Howard, Steve Robinson and Kevin Nicholls. Rafael Benitez's men seemed to be heading out of the tournament especially when French striker Djibril Cisse couldn't end his own goal-drought and failed to narrow the gap from the spot. Substitute Florent Sinama-Pongolle sparked Liverpool to life with a powerful shot and Spanish midfielder Xabi Alonso unleashed a stunning long-range volley for the equalizer. Sinama-Pongolle headed home to give Liverpool the lead before Alonso flied a venomous shot from his own half-court to register the fifth goal for the visitors.
