Egyptian Football Association (EFA) competitions committee decided to choose either February 13th or 15th for the Cairo-derby between giants Ahli and Zamalek that has been postponed from Egyptian league round-11. “The final date for the derby will be chosen according to the round Egypt qualifies to in the African Cup of Nations (ACN) that kicks-off on January 20th and until February 10th,” competitions committee member Ahmed Abdel-Mohaimen told Filgoal.com on Monday. The match will be played on February 13th if Egypt exit the CAN from the first-round or the quarter-finals. It will be played on the 15th if Egypt reach the semis, which will force the national team to play their final match on February 10th. The EFA committee met on Monday to put an initial match schedule for the league's postponed matches. Ahli are scheduled to play against Harras El-Hodoud and Ismaili after their match against Zamalek. Ahli's match against Moroccan club Royal Armed Forces (FAR) was also scheduled to be on February 26th according to a Confederation of African Football (CAF) request. Abdel-Mohaimen also indicated that the competitions committee will also meet next week to set dates for the remaining postponed matches in addition of putting a game plan for Enppi in case they qualify to the Arab Champions League (ACL) semi-finals.
