Zamalek suffered a surprise 1-0 defeat to a battling Masri side in the Egyptian Premier League. A stunning first-half header from striker Mohamed Al-Shaarawi was enough to hand the Whites their first defeat under manager Mido. The defeat helps Masri leapfrog Zamalek, who are left languishing in sixth place of Group B. Although they have a couple of games in hand, Mido's side are seven points behind leaders Petrojet. Zamalek had to lament missing a number of big chances against the vigilant Ahmed Al-Shennawi, who spent last season on loan at the Cairo club. The Whites also had star forward Mohamed Ibrahim sent off for a second bookable offense in injury time. VIDEOS From a counter attack move, Al-Shaarawi smashes an unstoppable header in the 20th minute. Momen Zakaria misses the target by inches after a fine solo run. Another good chance missed by Ibrahim, whose effort goes just wide. Ahmed Gaafar comes off the bench to miss an even greater chance from close range. Another substitute superbly denied by Al-Shennawi as Dominique da Silva sees his overhead kick parried away.
