Egypt right-back Ahmed Elmohamady featured for the whole game in Hull City's 2-0 defeat at Chelsea in the English Premier League opener. Brazilian midfielder Oscar gave the Blues the lead on 12 minutes before Frank Lampard, who had earlier seen a spot kick blocked by keeper Allan McGregor, doubled with a magnificent free kick on 25 minutes. Elmohamady put in an average performance, whipping in several crosses, which the Tigers failed to convert. Steve Bruce's Hull take on Norwich City at the KC Stadium next week.
