Hull City owner Assem Allam vehemently rejects the notion that his club's management is to blame for the long-term injury of Geddo, but promises to cover the expenses of the Egypt forward's surgery. Geddo, who was on loan from Ahli, aggravated a an old foot injury with Hull before featuring in a league game against Bristol City last month to further worsen the problem. After warning Hull that Geddo should not play in the match, Ahli are now set to be without their star striker for three months. In an interview with Ahli's satellite channel, Hull chairman Allam slammed claims that his club is responsible for Geddo's imminent surgery. “This is talk of people who seem medically inexperienced. I don't think whoever said this is a doctor or is someone who knows anything about English football," the Tigers' Egyptian chief said. “There is no football manager in England, whether Steve Bruce or anyone else, who dares or accepts to field a player with an injury... Even if it is minor. “I wish those people who just want some media attention would first study medicine and have some knowledge about the level of English football. “Anyway, Geddo was very worried to return to Egypt for treatment and I promised him that even if his surgery cost millions, he won't leave here unless he is 100% fit." As he was desperate for a permanent deal with Hull, Geddo's future at the KC Stadium remains unclear following his injury.
