Ahli boss Hossam Al-Badri considers the African Super Cup a very important trophy for the current squad. Ahli meet CAF Confederation Cup champions Leopards on Saturday, hoping to extend their record of Super Cup titles to five. While the continental clash is hardly regarded as a major competition, Al-Badri believes that clinching the Super Cup could inspire Ahli's season. “Winning the Super Cup is very important for this squad amid the absence of several key players due to injury or loan," the Reds coach told the club's website. “Victory could boost our confidence and give us a big push and the presence of fans will surely motivate the players to do their best. “I think Leopards are a good side because they are the champions of the Confederation Cup." Ahli are missing the likes of Geddo, Mohamed Abou-Treika and Ahmed Fathi after the trio was loaned out in the winter break, in addition to the long-term absence of injured skipper Hossam Ghaly.
