Shikabala could be loaned out by Al-Wasl after losing his place in the team's roster, according to the Emirate club's vice-president. The Egypt midfielder - on a season-long loan from Zamalek - has surprisingly been dropped by Al-Wasl following the arrival of Brazilian forward Jose Carlos Ferreira. While the Dubai club remain reluctant to send him back to Cairo for free, Shika's future became on the rocks with five months left until the end of his Wasl deal. “We have received enquires about loaning Shikabala from non-Emirate clubs," Al-Wasl vice-chairman Mohamed Bin Dokhan said. “We have no problem loaning Shikabala out until his contract expires in the summer and we are working something out with his agent in the meantime. “Otherwise, Shikabala will go under a special training program as he won't be eligible to play for Al-Wasl." Shikabala has yet to comment on his surprise omission, with parent club Zamalek not ready to repay Al-Wasl in order to retrieve him.
