Shikabala called on Zamalek fans in the Emirates to back him during his loan adventure at Al-Wasl after training with his new club for the first time. The flamboyant midfielder sealed a move to the UAE Football league club on a season-long loan a week ago, a deal that would see the Whites receive a fee of $1.25million. “Zamalek fans always support me at any place and at any time as I expect the same here," the 26-year-old told Al-Wasl's website. “Al-Wasl fans also gave me a good reception. I hope for further support from them." Shikabala switched to Al-Wasl after being listed for loan by Zamalek in the wake of his infamous touchline row with former manager Hassan Shehata. Al Wasl, who is currently managed by former Senegal tactician Bruno Metsu, finished eighth in the league last season.
