Ghana eased to the Africa Cup of Nations last eight with an easy win over Niger while Mali joined with a vital draw against DR Congo. the Ghanaians led the group with a thumping 3-0 win, courtesy of goals from Asamoah Gyan, Christian Atsu and John Boye. Despite being unbeaten in three games, DR Congo crashed out with their third draw on the trot, despite an early penalty from Dieumerci Mbokani. But Mamadou Samassa saved the day for Mai with a 15th minute equalizer to end the game 1-1. Ghana will face Group A runners-up Cape Verde while Mali meet hosts South Africa.
