Algeria is willing to buy 100 per cent of Orascom Telecom's (OT (ORTEq.L) Algerian unit but wants the Egyptian firm to clearly express its intention to sell, the Algerian finance minister said on Sunday. "The state is willing to take 100 per cent of (Orascom Telecom Algerian unit) Djezzy," Finance Minister Karim Djoudi told reporters. "It is obvious that this requires that OTA (Orascom Telecom Algerie) express clearly its intention to sell Djezzy to the Algerian state." He also said the Algerian state had not made an offer to Orascom Telecom for the unit and said first of all it needed to retain advisors and assess Djezzy's value.
