Los Angeles - Actress Lindsay Lohan who has made headlines for years for her drug abuse, arrests and rehabilitation stints, admitted to using cocaine to hide her problems. In an interview with the British tabloid The Sun, she said: "I tried to mask my problems with alcohol, cocaine and mind-altering substances. Now I'm in a place where I don't need to use anything and I can feel emotions because I choose to." The 23-year-old actress admitted that she reached bottom in 2007 after her father, Michael Lohan, publicized the family's problems. She reached for alcohol and cocaine, was arrested twice and went to rehab three times. "I abused substances too much and it wasn't the answer to my problems. People need to know that," she said, admitting her fears at waking up on her bathroom floor after taking drugs. Lohan blames her father for introducing her to drugs, but said she has learned from her mistakes and is happier now. Her therapy sessions every two weeks and once a week alcoholic meetings have helped save her life, she said.
