Egyptian fans, led by President Hosni Mubarak's sons Alaa and Gamal, flew to Angola on Sunday to support the national team in their African Cup of Nations' (ACN) final against Ghana. "The team are very professional and deserve our support as they always try and please us," Alaa told Egyptian TV a few hours ahead of the game. The President's elder son added that he hoped the team would make it three titles in a row. Alaa also referred to the world press praising the Egyptian team for the way they played against regional arch-rivals Algeria on Thursday. He was also pleased that the press criticised the Desert Foxes for their behaviour during the match. Optimism permeated Egyptians at home that their team would win the prestigious trophy for a record seventh time and the third time in a row. “I'm confident that the Pharaohs will keep their unbeaten record in the tournament and claim the title for the seventh time,” said Mansour Ahmed, a taxi driver, as he draped his car with the national flag in a Cairo street.
