CAIRO - Egypt is maintaining its lead in the medals table on the tenth day of the 2011 Arab Games that run from December (9-23) in Doha, Qatar. The Egyptian athletes have now 152 medals - 61 gold, 53 silver and 38 bronze. Qatar is second with 76 medals, (27 gold, 23 silver and 26 bronze), while Tunisia is on third place with 65 medals (26 gold, 15 silver and 24 bronze). Morocco is fourth with 71 medals (18 gold, 14 silver and 39 bronze) and Saudi Arabia on fifth place with 35 medals (10 gold, 10 silver and 15 bronze). Bahrain is sixth place with 29 medals (8 gold, 9 silver and 12 bronze) and Algeria on seventh place with 38 medals (7 gold, 14 silver and 17 bronze). Kuwait is eighth place with 34 medals (7 gold, 10 silver and 17 bronze) and Jordan on ninth place with 27 medals (7 gold, 7 silver and 13 bronze). Qatar is hosting the 12th edition of the games ahead of the 2022 Football World Cup, which will also be held in this Gulf State. Gold, silver for swimming Egypt's Farida Othman grabbed the gold medal in the 100m individual competition, as Algeria's Foulla Bin Nasser settled for silver and Lebanon Katia Bashroush scooped bronze. In the women's -57kg individual competition, Egypt's Hedaia Wahba grabbed the gold medal, while Morocco's Hagiba el-Nahari came second and Jordan's Marah el-Siqour pounced on the bronze. In the women's 67kg individual competition, Jordan's Nancy Abu Badr ‘stole' the gold, while Egypt's Hend Moustafa came away with silver, and Morocco's Hakima el-Meslhi and Sudan's Miriam Mahmoud shared bronze. In the women's 46kg competition, Egypt's Aya Ali got the gold medal, Jordan's Christina scooped silver and Tunisia's Fadia el-Farhani and Morocco's Naiema Nader shared the bronze medal. In the men's 58kg individual competition, Egypt's Tamer Bayoumi grabbed gold, as Libya's Mohamed Telish won silver and Qatari Mohamed Daher and Yemeni Yasser Moterif shared the third place, and the bronze medal. In the men's 80kg competition, Morocco's Essam el-Sharnoubi grabbed the gold medal, while Jordan's Nabil Hassan came second and Egypt's Mahmoud Said and Qatar's Mohamed Daher shared third place and the bronze. In the men's 74kg individual competition, Tunisia's Ziyad Ekraam netted gold, while Egypt's Islam Mohamed settled for silver and Iraq's Ayman Mohssen and Jordan's Ramzi el-Merafi shared third place and bronze. In the men's 96kg individual competition, Jordan's Yehia Abu Tabeikh snatched the gold medal, while Tunisia's Hussein el-Eiari hooked silver and Egypt's Moustafa Mahmoud and Iraqi Seif Ali Kassem shared third place and bronze.
