CAIRO - Hundreds of public transport workers have on Sunday staged a sit-in in the vicinity of the Cabinet premises saying they would not leave until their demands are met. Tens of Public Transport buses had carried the workers to the cabinet premises on Qasr el-Aini street, Al-Youm Al-Sabea reported. Transport workers are now gathering at every garage in Giza and Cairo Governorates to mass outside the cabinet, according to eyewitnesses. Ahmed Abdul Wahab, one of the body's personnel, said that all 24 garages affiliated to the Public Transport Authority are to take part in the sit-in. He added that all workers are urging governors to take positive action to solve their problems. He noted that workers are awaiting the outcome of the Cabinet's meeting that will focus on the problems of teachers and drivers.
