MADRID - The Egyptian community in Spain will stage a demonstration on Sunday in Madrid, demanding the Spanish authorities surrender businessman Hussein Salem to Egypt. The Spanish authorities have agreed that the demonstration can be held outside the Ministry of Justice in Madrid from 12 noon until 2pm, Moataz Salah Eddin, the head of the Egyptian Popular Initiative to Restore Egypt's Stolen Funds, told the official Middle East News Agency (MENA) Wednesday. Salem was detained at his home in Majorca on an international arrest warrant issued by Interpol. He is wanted for trial in Egypt on charges of bribing toppled president Hosni Mubarak and his family and squandering public funds.
