CAIRO - Egypt has agreed Wednesday to buy 35,000 tonnes of soybean and sunflower oils at a tender. State-run Food Industries Holding Co. purchased 25,000 tonnes of soybean oil from Louis Dreyfus at $1,288.95 a tonne, Vice Chairman Abdel Sattar Soliman said. It also bought 10,000 tonnes of sunflower oil from Glencore International Plc at $1,365.65 a tonne. The oils, whose prices include freight costs, are for arrival in the second half of August, Soliman added. In April, the Egyptian Government approved an extra LE10 billion over the next three months to help slow rising food prices.
