CAIRO – Egypt's Finance Minister Samir Radwan on Tuesday approved an Italian initiative to offer technical aid for the Egyptian police as well as providing state-of-the-art devices in security field, the official Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported. MENA added that Radwan had ratified the Italian help after talks with Italian Ambassador in Cairo Claudio Pacifico. "Restoring security is a top priority for the Egyptian Government and the Italian initiative looks helpful in this regard," Radwan said. The Egyptian official added that he had discussed with the Italian envoy a bid to swap Egypt's debts to Italy which will be ratified soon. Pacifico announced that Italian travel agencies were planning to restore tourist levels arriving in Egypt.
