CAIRO - One person was killed and 71 others were injured in clashes as police and the Army dispersed demonstrators camping out in Al Tahrir Square, according to the Ministry of Health. The ruling military denied firing at the demonstrators and accused outlaws of terrorising the protesters. However, the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces, which has been running the affairs of the country since February 11, vowed no leniency in protecting the nation and citizens. Meanwhile, around 500 protesters, who defied the warning, Saturday shouted slogans against the council and its titular chief Field Marshal Hussein Tantwei.
